Refried beans


  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 15 ml cumin
  • 5 ml ground coriander
  • 1 x 400 g can GOLDCREST cannellini beans, drained
  • Juice of half a lime
  • Olive oil


Heat the oil and fry the onion and garlic until soft.  Add the cumin, coriander and beans and cook for 5 minutes.  Use a potato masher and roughly mash the beans. Squeeze lime juice over and drizzle with olive oil.  Sprinkle with a little chilli powder or cayenne pepper.
