Fillet:

  • 800 g rump or sirloin at room temperature 
  • 60 ml GOLDCREST Honey
  • 30 ml wholegrain mustard
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 2.5 ml smoked chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste

Sauce:

  • 60 ml GOLDCREST Pure Honey
  • 45 ml soy sauce
  • 45 ml lime juice
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 15 ml Hot English mustard
  • 2.5 ml smoked chilli flakes

Method:

  1. Mix the honey, mustard, olive oil and chilli flakes together.
  2. Brush over the steak. Heat a griddle pan until very hot.
  3. Fry the steak for 2 – 4 minutes per side – depending on how you like your steak done.
  4. Leave to rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Cut into slices.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
  7. Mix the ingredients for the sauce together and pour over the steak.
  8. Serve with a green salad or steamed vegetables of your choice.
