Goldcrest Cinnamon & Honey Buns

Makes 8 buns
Ingredients:
- 350g cake flour, plus more for dusting
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 200ml milk
- 100g salted butter, melted
- 2 large egg yolks
Honey butter filling:
- 60g Goldcrest Pure Honey
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 30g salted butter, melted & cooled
- 1 egg, for egg wash
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon together in a large bowl.
- In a smaller bowl, mix the egg yolks, milk, and butter until combined.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures until a dough is formed.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Goldcrest honey, cinnamon and butter.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
- Spread the filling evenly across the dough, and then roll up gently.
- Cut into 8 equal rolls and arrange in a greased round cake tin so that they fit snugly together.
- Whisk one egg thoroughly and brush the surface of the buns generously with the egg wash.
- Bake for 30- 35 minutes until golden brown and cooked though.
- While they are still hot, drizzle the whole surface of the buns with Goldcrest honey. Brush it evenly over the buns to completely cover them.
