GOLDCREST HOST OF THE YEAR AWARDS COMPETITION – Terms & Conditions  

  1. Eligibility

This competition is organised by Libstar Holdings Ltd (“the Organisers”) and is open to all South African citizens residing in the Republic of South Africa (a valid South African identity document is required), except directors, members, business partners, employees, sales agents, advertising agency staff and the immediate family members of all the aforesaid (including, but not limited to spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers and sisters). 

  1. Goldcrest Host of The Year Competition Details

The competition runs for 4 weeks in total from 12 November 2025 to 10 December 2025.  Winners will be announced on 15 December 2025.  

To enter: 

  • Show us how you host with Goldcrest to earn the title of Host of The Year  
  • Upload your photo/video featuring any Goldcrest product on Instagram or Facebook.  
  • Tag Goldcrest on Facebook and Instagram and use the hashtag #HeartofHosting in your caption 
  • Follow Goldcrest 
  • In your caption, tell us how you embrace the #HeartofHosting with Goldcrest.  

On Facebook: 

  • Like & follow Goldcrest on Facebook 
  • Optional: Share on your stories.  

On Instagram: 

  • Follow @goldcrestfood 
  1. Prizes
  • Weekly Prizes: Entries will stand a chance to win Goldcrest product hampers, every week. These will be selected randomly.  
  • Grand Prize: One grand prize winner along with 2nd and 3rd places winner will be chosen at the end of the competition and will each receive a curated prize worth up to R5 000 to elevate their hosting occasions.  
  • 1st prize: XL Pizza Braai with travel bag 

2nd prize: Fieldbar 10l Drinks Box  

3rd prize: 6 Person Party Fondue set  

  • ALL entries including weekly winners will be considered for the grand prize.  
  • 4. Selection of Winners 
  • Weekly Winners: Throughout the competition period, Goldcrest will select a winner of Goldcrest Hamper every week. 
  • There will be one grand prize winner of the title of Host of the Year 2025 with additional second and third place winners at the end of the competition.  
  • Winners will be announced by 15 December 2025 and added to our Goldcrest Hosting Hall of Fame on www.goldcrest.co.za 
  • Selection Criteria: Winners will be chosen based on use of Goldcrest product, hosting creativity, storytelling, and overall visual appeal of the post. 
  • Winners will be selected at the organiser/judges’ discretion. The Organisers’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. 
  1. Entry Requirements
  • A person may enter as many times as they want  
  • Your entry must be a photo/video of your own creation. 
  • You must include all required information in your caption (ingredients, description, hashtag). 
  • Your profile must be public for the duration of the competition. 
  1. Prize Claiming

Winners will be notified by social media comment and direct message and must claim their prices by 18 December 2025. Unclaimed prizes may be awarded to alternate winners. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Goldcrest reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without notice. 

  1. General Conditions
  • By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
  • The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions or that are deemed inappropriate. 
  • The Organisers’ decision on all matters relating to the competition is final. 
  • This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook or Instagram. 
  • You are providing your information to the Organisers and not to any other party. 
  • These terms and conditions are governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa. 
  • The Organisers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. 
  • The winner agrees to the use of their name, image, and entry in future Goldcrest marketing material. 
  1. Data Protection

Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. 

  1. Disqualification

The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions or is deemed inappropriate.

Goldcrest and Libstar makes no warranty or representation in connection with any prizes as to the value, quality, suitability for any purpose, dimensions or other property or attribute of the Prize.
